Note
The sizes of the Euro pallets have been standardised according to the means of transport to make the cost of transporting goods more efficient. For example, a lorry trailer has a usable width of 2.4 m, so if the goods are packed on 800x1200 mm pallets, 2 euro pallets on the 1200 mm side or 3 euro pallets on the 800 mm side will be placed on the width and the usable space of the trailer will be fully utilised to maximise transport efficiency.
